Natural Stone Countertop Materials

Granite

Durable, water-resistant and heat-resistant against hair tools. Easy to maintain, especially dark colours. Popular choices: Galaxy Black, Kashmir White, Tan Brown, Golden Juparana.

Slate

Matte, natural and water-resistant. Softer than granite and less widely available.

Marble

Classic luxury. Ziarat White, Botticino, Cream Marfil and Silky Black are popular. Marble etches with acidic products and needs sealing.

Soapstone

Soft charcoal look, non-porous, but soft and rare in Pakistan.

Onyx

Pakistani green onyx, especially backlit, creates a stunning vanity or feature wall in luxury bathrooms.

Travertine

Warm and textured; best when filled and well sealed.

Man-Made Countertop Materials

Quartz

Non-porous, no sealing, mould-resistant and available in marble-look designs. One of the best choices for bathrooms.

Porcelain

Waterproof, heat-resistant and available in large slabs for seamless walls and vanities.

Solid Surface

Seamless with integrated basins; scratches and heat-sensitive.

Cultured Marble

Budget-friendly with integrated basins; less durable.

Laminate

Cheapest; vulnerable to water at seams.
