What Is Engineered Stone?
Engineered stone is made by combining crushed natural minerals — usually quartz, at around 90–93% — with resin and pigments, then compressing and curing the mix into dense slabs.

Benefit 1: Durability
Engineered quartz is very hard and resists scratches from utensils and daily use. The resin adds a little flexibility, making it less brittle than some natural stones.
Benefit 2: Non-Porous Surface
Engineered stone has practically no pores. Oil, haldi, chai, coffee and sauces stay on the surface and wipe away.
Benefit 3: No Sealing
Unlike marble and light granite, engineered quartz never needs sealing — saving time and money every year.
Benefit 4: Hygiene
No pores means fewer places for bacteria and mould — ideal for preparing raw meat and for bathrooms.
Benefit 5: Consistency
Colours and patterns are controlled, so slabs match closely. This is valuable in large kitchens, apartment projects and offices.
Benefit 6: Design Choice
From bright whites to marble-looks, concrete-looks and deep blacks — FB Marble offers more than 80 quartz designs.
Benefit 7: Low Maintenance
Warm water and mild soap are all you need.
Benefit 8: Value
Engineered stone offers a premium look at a mid-range price, especially compared with imported marble.
Limitations to Keep in Mind
- Heat sensitivity: use trivets for hot pots.
- Not for outdoor use: UV can fade the resin.
- Repairs are harder to hide than on granite.
Where Engineered Stone Works Best
Kitchen counters and islands, bathroom vanities, shower ledges, office pantries, reception desks and feature walls.
