How Much Do Countertops Cost?

In FB Marble's current list, Pakistani granite starts at about Rs 250 per square foot and imported granite at about Rs 700. Local marble is economical, while quartz and exotic granites sit higher. Fabrication and installation add to the total.

1. Buy Remnants for Small Projects

Remnants are leftover pieces from larger jobs. They are perfect for bathroom vanities, window sills, side tables, laundry counters and small kitchens. The stone is identical in quality but sold at a lower price.

2. Buy Direct from a Supplier with Fabrication

Buying from a company that stocks slabs and fabricates in-house — like FB Marble — avoids middleman margins and coordination problems between supplier and installer.

3. Choose a Common Colour

Popular, always-in-stock stones such as Galaxy Black, Tan Brown, Tropical Brown and Impala Black are priced competitively. Rare colours cost more.

4. Consider the Country of Origin

Pakistani granites carry no import duty or sea freight, making them significantly cheaper than imports. They are ideal for large areas such as floors, stairs and car porches.

5. Keep Edges Simple

Standard edges like eased or half bullnose are usually included in the price. Premium edges — ogee, mitered, waterfall — are charged per running foot.

6. Simplify the Layout

Fewer corners, cut-outs and joints mean less labour and less wastage.

7. Combine Materials

Use a premium stone on the island, where it is most visible, and an economical granite on perimeter counters.

8. Choose the Right Thickness

18–20 mm slabs with good support are more economical than 30 mm slabs. A built-up edge gives a thick look for less.

9. Measure Accurately

Accurate measurements prevent over-ordering. Send FB Marble a sketch on WhatsApp for an exact quote.

10. Consider Supply-Only

If you have a trusted installer, buying supply-only can reduce costs — though professional installation protects your investment.

Where Not to Cut Corners

Do not compromise on cabinet support, levelling or proper adhesives. Saving on installation can lead to cracks and costly repairs.
