How Marble Is Priced
Marble is sold per square foot. Floors and walls are usually quoted as supply-only or supply-and-fix, while counters and vanities include fabrication for edges and cut-outs. FB Marble confirms exact rates based on the stone, the batch in stock and the quantity you need.
Grade of Marble
Marble is graded by quality. Higher grades have fewer cracks, fewer resin-filled areas and more consistent colour. Commercial grades are cheaper but may need extra cutting to avoid defects, which increases wastage.
Type and Origin
Local Pakistani marbles — Ziarat White, Sunny White, Sunny Grey, Badal, Botticino, Tavera, Chocolate Brown and Silky Black — are quarried in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. With no import duty or sea freight, they are very economical, especially for large floors.

Imported marbles — such as Cream Marfil, Grey Emperador, Rosso Verona and Italian whites — carry freight, duty and handling costs, so they cost significantly more.
Availability
Stones that are always in stock are priced competitively. Rare colours or very white, clean slabs command higher prices because supply is limited.
Colour
Pure whites with minimal veining and uniform colours are generally priced higher than mixed, cloudy or busy patterns.
Job Complexity
Stairs, borders, inlays, curved designs, bookmatched feature walls and vanity cut-outs all require extra labour and generate more wastage.
Installation and Labour
Your total cost depends on whether you buy supply-only or supply-and-fix, and whether the floor needs grinding and polishing after installation. Transport to upper floors and other cities also adds cost.
Tips to Save on Marble
- Use local marble for large floor areas and save imported stone for feature walls.
- Order the full quantity from one batch to avoid mismatched shades and extra wastage.
- Choose standard tile sizes for floors where possible.
- Keep borders and inlays simple.

Where Marble Gives Best Value
Lounges, bedrooms, staircases, bathroom walls, feature walls and dining tables. For busy kitchen counters, consider granite or quartz alongside marble floors.
