Everyday Cleaning
Step 1: Use a Cleaner Suitable for Granite

Warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap is ideal. For a quick spray, use a pH-neutral granite cleaner or a 1:1 mix of isopropyl alcohol and water.
Step 2: Wipe in Sections
Use a soft microfibre cloth to clean the counter, working from the back to the front.
Step 3: Rinse
Wipe with a clean damp cloth to remove soap residue.
Step 4: Dry and Buff
Dry with a microfibre towel to prevent water spots and bring up the shine.
Step 5: Keep Up the Routine
Clean after every meal, and do a slightly deeper clean once a week.
Helpful Hints for Everyday Maintenance
Don't Leave Spills Sitting
Wipe oil, chai, haldi, juice and sauces promptly, especially on light granites.
Exercise Caution
- Use trivets for very hot pots near seams and cut-outs.
- Cut on boards — granite will blunt your knives.
- Don't sit or stand on counters.
- Lift, don't drag, heavy appliances.
Use Trays
Keep oil bottles, spice jars and soap dispensers on trays.
Avoid Harmful Products
No vinegar, lemon, bleach, ammonia or abrasive powders.
How Do You Seal a Granite Countertop?
- Clean thoroughly and let dry for 24 hours.
- Apply a penetrating granite sealer evenly.
- Let it soak in as directed.
- Wipe off all excess.
- Allow 24–48 hours to cure.
Do the water-drop test periodically: if water darkens the stone within 10–15 minutes, it is time to reseal. Light granites usually need sealing once a year.
