Description

Ice White is an engineered quartz surface with a bright white base with fine grey speckles.

A clean, modern white for kitchen islands; the speckle hides crumbs better than solid white.

Ice White is stocked as 3200mm x 1600mm slabs, 18mm thick, with a polished finish.

Origin & Technical Profile

Origin: An imported engineered slab stocked by FB Marble in Lahore.

What the slab looks like: A bright white base with fine grey speckles.

MaterialEngineered stone: crushed quartz bound with polymer resin and pigment
Country of originImported
FinishPolished
Thickness18mm
Slab size3200mm x 1600mm
CompositionRoughly 90–93% quartz aggregate, the rest resin and pigment
DensityAbout 2.3 – 2.4 g/cmΒ³
Water absorptionNear zero (typically ≀ 0.05%) β€” no sealing needed
HardnessAbout 7 Mohs (quartz aggregate)
HeatResin can scorch above ~150 Β°C β€” always use a trivet
Outdoor useNot recommended β€” strong UV can yellow the resin
FabricationCut wet only: dry-cutting quartz releases crystalline silica dust

Practical note: Daily cleaning with mild soap is enough; avoid oven cleaner, paint stripper and other strong solvents that attack the resin.

Technical figures are typical values for this type of material; colour can shift slightly between production batches, so match slabs from the same batch.

Choosing Ice White

The look: Ice White has a bright white base with fine grey speckles. A clean, modern white for kitchen islands; the speckle hides crumbs better than solid white.

Living with the pattern: The fine speckle on Ice White hides crumbs, water spots and small chips well, and joints are hard to see, so it is one of the easier colours to install on long or L-shaped counters.

Where it works best: Kitchen counters, bathroom vanities, office desks and shop counters where an easy, clean look is wanted.

What goes with Ice White:

  • Any cabinet colour: wood, white, grey, green or navy all work
  • Coloured or patterned tiles on the backsplash, since the top stays calm
  • Chrome or brushed steel taps for a clean, modern finish
  • Small kitchens and bathrooms, where a light top makes the room feel bigger

Similar quartz colours

  • Gulf Crystal Quartz: pale aqua-white quartz with fine grey speckle.
  • New Crystal Grey Quartz: pale mint-white quartz with fine grey hairlines (veining instead of fine speckle).
  • Snap White Quartz: pale mint-grey quartz with soft white swirls (veining instead of fine speckle).
  • Snow White: soft white quartz with faint grey cloud veining (veining instead of fine speckle).

Compare with white granite: White granite costs less and takes heat better, but its grains and spots are busier than this smooth quartz. See white granite colours and rates.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Ice White take hot pans?
Ice White handles warm dishes, but like all quartz its resin binder can scorch or discolour above roughly 150 Β°C, so always put hot pots and pans on a trivet. It absorbs almost no water and never needs sealing.
Does Ice White need sealing, and will haldi stain it?
No sealing is needed β€” Ice White absorbs almost no water. On a light surface like this, haldi or strong masala left for hours can leave a faint yellow mark, so wipe spills after cooking; a dried mark usually lifts with a non-abrasive cream cleaner. Avoid bleach and oven cleaner.
What is the difference between Ice White and Calacatta Gold?
Ice White is bright white quartz with fine grey speckle, while Calacatta Gold is Calacatta-look white quartz with gold and grey veining. Both are engineered quartz with the same basic performance, so the choice is mainly colour and pattern β€” we can lay both slabs side by side for you in Lahore.
Can Ice White be used outdoors or next to a sunny window?
Keep Ice White indoors. Strong UV light can slowly yellow the resin in quartz, especially in Pakistan's summer sun; for terraces and outdoor kitchens use granite or porcelain instead.
Is the pattern on Ice White printed, and what sizes are available?
No β€” Ice White is coloured through its body during pressing rather than printed, so edges can be profiled; on veined designs the veins on the edge look slightly different from the top. Slabs are 3200mm x 1600mm, 18mm thick. Ask on WhatsApp +92 323 4148908 for today's rate.
