Basics of Branded Quartz
Branded quartz typically uses a very high percentage of natural quartz, premium resins and tightly controlled manufacturing. The result is a dense, non-porous surface with consistent colour. FB Marble supplies both branded and value quartz designs, and the cleaning routine is the same for both.
Daily Cleaning
- Clear the counter of crumbs and loose debris.
- Wipe with warm water and a few drops of mild dish soap using a soft cloth.
- Rinse with a clean damp cloth to remove soap film.
- Dry with a microfibre towel for a streak-free shine.
Removing Tough Messes
- Dried food and dough: soften with warm water, then lift with a plastic scraper.
- Grease and oil: degreasing dish soap with hot water; rinse twice.
- Ink and marker: isopropyl alcohol on a cloth.
- Hard water spots: a brief wipe with diluted vinegar, then rinse immediately.
- Haldi and food colouring: baking soda paste for ten minutes, then wipe.
- Gum and wax: harden with ice, then lift with a plastic scraper.
Weekly Deep Clean
Spray a quartz-safe surface cleaner across the counter, leave for a minute, and wipe with a non-scratch sponge. Pay attention to the area around the stove and sink.
What Not to Use
- Bleach and products containing bleach
- Oven cleaners and drain cleaners
- Abrasive powders, steel wool and rough scouring pads
- Paint strippers and strong solvents
- High-pH degreasers
These can damage the resin, causing dull patches or discolouration — and may affect warranty coverage.
How to Prevent Stains
- Wipe spills, especially haldi and chai, as soon as they happen
- Keep oil bottles and spice jars on trays
- Use trivets under hot pots
- Use chopping boards
- Use coasters for drinks
Warranty Tips
Many branded quartz warranties exclude damage from heat, chemicals and misuse. Keep your purchase documents and follow the care guidelines given at handover.
