Where Is Granite Found in Pakistan?
Nagarparkar, Sindh

In the Tharparkar district of Sindh, the Karoonjhar hills near Nagarparkar contain ancient granite formations. These pink and grey granites are among the oldest rocks in Pakistan and have been quarried for building stone.
Northern Areas
The mountains of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the northern regions contain granite and related igneous rocks formed during the collision of tectonic plates that created the Himalaya and Karakoram ranges.
Other Regions
Smaller igneous deposits occur in parts of Balochistan and elsewhere.
History of Granite in Pakistan
Historically, granite was used locally for building foundations, steps and monuments. As demand for durable kitchen counters, stairs and flooring grew in the late twentieth century, both local quarrying and imports expanded.
