Black Granite
Description
Black Granite β also known as Absolute Black β is the purest and most uniform black stone available on the market. Quarried in both India and Pakistan, this granite features an almost perfectly consistent deep black colour with minimal variation.
A timeless and versatile choice, Absolute Black granite works beautifully in both modern and traditional settings. It is particularly stunning when paired with white or light-coloured cabinetry, creating a bold and dramatic contrast.
Extremely hard, durable and low-maintenance, Black Granite is one of the most practical choices for kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, flooring and steps. Its polished surface is easy to clean and maintain, making it ideal for Pakistani homes.
Origin & Technical Profile
Origin: Available from both Indian and Pakistani supply. Most 'absolute black' is quarried in Andhra Pradesh, India; geologically it is a gabbro/dolerite, which is why it is denser and less porous than true granite.
What the slab looks like: An even, solid black with almost no visible crystal pattern.

Practical note: A polished black top shows fingerprints and limescale; the leather (brushed) finish hides them far better on kitchen counters. Never buy 'black granite' that leaves black colour on a cloth with acetone β that is dyed stone. Clean with warm water and a pH-neutral soap; avoid bleach and abrasive powders that strip the sealer.
Technical figures are typical ranges for this type of stone, not lab results for one block. Every natural slab differs in colour and pattern, so please view the actual slab before it is cut.
