Description

Black Pearl Granite is a South Indian granite with a deep black base and small silver-grey crystals that give a soft, pearl-like shimmer across the polished surface.

Its dark tone makes it a favourite for contrast in kitchens and bathrooms, especially with light cabinetry, white walls or brushed steel fittings.

Because the silver specks break up the black, it shows dust and fingerprints less than absolute black β€” a practical choice for counters, stairs and sills.

Origin & Technical Profile

Origin: Quarried in Pakistan and supplied by FB Marble from local quarries, so lead times and transport costs are lower than for imported stone.

What the slab looks like: A deep black ground with small silver-grey crystals that give a soft, pearl-like shimmer under light.

Practical note: The small silver specks break up the black enough to hide dust better than absolute black, which suits stair treads and window sills as well as kitchen tops. Clean with warm water and a pH-neutral soap; avoid bleach and abrasive powders that strip the sealer.

Technical figures are typical ranges for this type of stone, not lab results for one block. Every natural slab differs in colour and pattern, so please view the actual slab before it is cut.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Black Pearl Granite good for kitchen countertops in Pakistani homes?
Yes. Black Pearl Granite is a dense, darker granite, so haldi, oil and masala spills do not soak in easily and everyday marks are hard to see. Seal it once after installation and then every 2–3 years.
Where does Black Pearl Granite come from?
Black Pearl Granite is quarried in Pakistan and supplied by FB Marble from local quarries, so lead times and transport costs are lower than for imported stone.
What is the difference between Black Pearl Granite and Tropical Brown Granite?
Black Pearl Granite is black granite with fine silver-grey pearl-like specks, while Tropical Brown Granite is coarse dark-brown granite with black and tan speckle. Both are granites with the same basic performance, so the choice is mainly colour and pattern β€” we can lay both slabs side by side for you in Lahore.
Can I put a hot patila or tawa directly on Black Pearl Granite?
Granite like Black Pearl Granite takes the heat of a hot patila or tawa without damage, but repeated direct heat weakens the sealer and can, rarely, crack the stone next to a sink or hob cut-out through thermal shock β€” use a trivet for pans straight off a high flame.
What thickness and finish is Black Pearl Granite available in, and what is the rate?
Black Pearl Granite is supplied 18mm / 20mm with a polished finish. 20 mm is the usual choice for kitchen counters; 18 mm is common for flooring and stairs. The estimated rate for Black Pearl Granite is Rs 1,100 – 1,300 per square foot. The exact rate depends on slab size, thickness and the batch in stock, so we confirm it on the day β€” send your measurements on WhatsApp +92 323 4148908.
