Description

Drill Brown is an engineered quartz surface with a white base with brown mirrored swirls that form a book-matched pattern.

Book-matched slabs make dramatic TV and headboard walls; slabs must be installed in sequence.

Drill Brown is stocked as 3200mm x 1600mm slabs, 18mm thick, with a polished finish.

Origin & Technical Profile

Origin: An imported engineered slab stocked by FB Marble in Lahore.

What the slab looks like: A white base with brown mirrored swirls that form a book-matched pattern.

MaterialEngineered stone: crushed quartz bound with polymer resin and pigment
Country of originImported
FinishPolished
Thickness18mm
Slab size3200mm x 1600mm
CompositionRoughly 90–93% quartz aggregate, the rest resin and pigment
DensityAbout 2.3 – 2.4 g/cmΒ³
Water absorptionNear zero (typically ≀ 0.05%) β€” no sealing needed
HardnessAbout 7 Mohs (quartz aggregate)
HeatResin can scorch above ~150 Β°C β€” always use a trivet
Outdoor useNot recommended β€” strong UV can yellow the resin
FabricationCut wet only: dry-cutting quartz releases crystalline silica dust

Practical note: Daily cleaning with mild soap is enough; avoid oven cleaner, paint stripper and other strong solvents that attack the resin.

Technical figures are typical values for this type of material; colour can shift slightly between production batches, so match slabs from the same batch.

Choosing Drill Brown

The look: Drill Brown has a white base with brown mirrored swirls that form a book-matched pattern. Book-matched slabs make dramatic TV and headboard walls; slabs must be installed in sequence.

Living with the pattern: Because Drill Brown is veined, ask to see the full slab before cutting: the veins should run the same way across joints and around corners. A bookmatched or vein-matched layout costs a little more slab but looks far better on islands and walls.

Where it works best: Kitchen islands and counters, waterfall edges, vanities and wall panels behind a bed or TV.

What goes with Drill Brown:

  • White, light grey or sage-green cabinets for a soft marble look
  • Dark walnut or matt black cabinets when you want the veins to stand out
  • Brushed gold or matt black taps and handles, picked to match the vein colour
  • Plain walls and floors, so the veining stays the main feature

Similar quartz colours

Compare with real white marble: Natural white marble has its own one-off veining but is softer and needs sealing; quartz gives a similar look that does not stain from haldi, oil or tea. See real white marble colours and rates.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Drill Brown take hot pans?
Drill Brown handles warm dishes, but like all quartz its resin binder can scorch or discolour above roughly 150 Β°C, so always put hot pots and pans on a trivet. It absorbs almost no water and never needs sealing.
Does Drill Brown need sealing, and will haldi stain it?
No sealing is needed β€” Drill Brown absorbs almost no water. On a light surface like this, haldi or strong masala left for hours can leave a faint yellow mark, so wipe spills after cooking; a dried mark usually lifts with a non-abrasive cream cleaner. Avoid bleach and oven cleaner.
What is the difference between Drill Brown and Brown Drill Quartz?
Drill Brown is white quartz with brown mirrored swirl veining, while Brown Drill Quartz is beige quartz with dense brown and white granule texture. Drill Brown comes from Imported and Brown Drill Quartz from China. Both are engineered quartz with the same basic performance, so the choice is mainly colour and pattern β€” we can lay both slabs side by side for you in Lahore.
Can Drill Brown be used outdoors or next to a sunny window?
Keep Drill Brown indoors. Strong UV light can slowly yellow the resin in quartz, especially in Pakistan's summer sun; for terraces and outdoor kitchens use granite or porcelain instead.
Is the pattern on Drill Brown printed, and what sizes are available?
No β€” Drill Brown is coloured through its body during pressing rather than printed, so edges can be profiled; on veined designs the veins on the edge look slightly different from the top. Slabs are 3200mm x 1600mm, 18mm thick. Ask on WhatsApp +92 323 4148908 for today's rate.
