Statuary White Quartz
Description
Statuary White Quartz is an engineered quartz surface with a white base with fine grey veining in the style of Statuario marble.
Gives the Statuario look on floors and counters without marble's etching or staining.
Statuary White Quartz is stocked as 1800mm x 2700mm slabs, 18mm thick, with a polished finish.
Origin & Technical Profile
Origin: Manufactured in China and imported by FB Marble.
What the slab looks like: A white base with fine grey veining in the style of Statuario marble.
| Material | Engineered stone: crushed quartz bound with polymer resin and pigment |
|---|---|
| Country of origin | China |
| Finish | Polished / Re-Polishable |
| Thickness | 18mm |
| Slab size | 1800mm x 2700mm |
| Composition | Roughly 90β93% quartz aggregate, the rest resin and pigment |
| Density | About 2.3 β 2.4 g/cmΒ³ |
| Water absorption | Near zero (typically β€ 0.05%) β no sealing needed |
| Hardness | About 7 Mohs (quartz aggregate) |
| Heat | Resin can scorch above ~150 Β°C β always use a trivet |
| Outdoor use | Not recommended β strong UV can yellow the resin |
| Fabrication | Cut wet only: dry-cutting quartz releases crystalline silica dust |
Practical note: Daily cleaning with mild soap is enough; avoid oven cleaner, paint stripper and other strong solvents that attack the resin.
Technical figures are typical values for this type of material; colour can shift slightly between production batches, so match slabs from the same batch.
Choosing Statuary White Quartz
The look: Statuary White Quartz has a white base with fine grey veining in the style of Statuario marble. Gives the Statuario look on floors and counters without marble's etching or staining.
Living with the pattern: Because Statuary White Quartz is veined, ask to see the full slab before cutting: the veins should run the same way across joints and around corners. A bookmatched or vein-matched layout costs a little more slab but looks far better on islands and walls.
Where it works best: Kitchen islands and counters, waterfall edges, vanities and wall panels behind a bed or TV.
What goes with Statuary White Quartz:
- White, light grey or sage-green cabinets for a soft marble look
- Dark walnut or matt black cabinets when you want the veins to stand out
- Brushed gold or matt black taps and handles, picked to match the vein colour
- Plain walls and floors, so the veining stays the main feature
Similar quartz colours
- Carrara White Quartz: Carrara-look white quartz with thin grey web veins.
- Calacatta Wave: white quartz with soft flowing grey wave veins.
- Calacatta Gold: Calacatta-look white quartz with gold and grey veining.
- Carrara Grey: soft grey-white quartz with large marble-style veins.
Compare with real white marble: Natural white marble has its own one-off veining but is softer and needs sealing; quartz gives a similar look that does not stain from haldi, oil or tea. See real white marble colours and rates.
