How often should I seal granite countertops?
We recommend sealing granite countertops at least once each year. Lighter granite colours may require more frequent sealing, as often as every 6 months, as they tend to be more porous than darker granites.
Can I install granite outdoors?
Granite is one of the best natural stones for outdoor use — it can be used for outdoor kitchens, BBQ areas, bars and other applications. We recommend covering outdoor granite countertops during extreme weather conditions.
Can I cut directly on a granite countertop?
You can cut and chop directly on your granite countertops, however it is not recommended as it may result in damage to your knives. Granite is extremely hard and will dull knife blades very quickly.
Is granite heat resistant?
Granite is a highly heat resistant material and can withstand extremely hot temperatures. However, it is not advised to place very hot pots and pans directly onto the stone as it might remove the sealer and could potentially cause thermal shock in some cases.
How do I clean my granite countertops?
A solution of warm water and mild dish soap is recommended for daily cleaning of granite countertops. We advise against using any acidic or abrasive chemicals as they may remove the surface layer of the sealer and in extreme cases may damage the polish of the stone.
Can a chip on my countertop be repaired?
Most chips smaller than a coin in diameter can be repaired using a stone chip repair kit. We recommend professional repair service for larger chips. Contact FB Marble for a referral to our trusted stone repair specialists.

Do you provide free samples? How many samples can I take?
At FB Marble, samples are free and we encourage our clients to take up to ten samples per visit to our showroom in Lahore. You can also request samples via WhatsApp and we will arrange delivery.

Why should I see a slab in person?
Since every slab of natural stone is completely unique, we recommend visiting our Lahore showroom to see slab patterns and colour variations in person. What you see online is representative — the actual slab may vary slightly in pattern.
Where does your material come from?
At FB Marble we source our stone from the most reputable quarries globally, including those from India, Brazil, Norway, Italy, Spain, South Africa, Ukraine, and locally from Pakistan.
Why is some stone more expensive than others?
Stone slabs that are extremely rare and boast unique colours tend to be more expensive than commonly found stones. Imported stones also carry additional logistics costs compared to locally quarried Pakistani granite.
Do I have to seal natural stone?
We do recommend sealing natural stone countertops periodically. The frequency depends on the material — granite generally requires sealing once a year, while more porous stones may need sealing every six months.
