Practical note: Vein-cut stone is sawn parallel to the bedding layers, which gives straight stripes; lay all pieces with the stripes running the same way. Factory filling (resin or cementitious) closes the pores for an easy-clean surface; small fill spots may open over the years and can be refilled. Clean with pH-neutral stone soap; on unfilled or tumbled stone, sweep grit regularly so the open pores do not trap dirt.
Technical figures are typical ranges for this type of stone, not lab results for one block. Every natural slab differs in colour and pattern, so please view the actual slab before it is cut.
